I am not Giordano Bruno I painted after doing my first dance class called Gurdijeff dance, when something new opened in my body, like I could feel the endless space in me… and with this feeling I returned to the canvas and finished the painting. Before I was painting in my, let's say moving approach, but it was not a dance jet, at that time, one of the professors at the Academy looking at the painting said to me, what are these doodles you are doing? So, I was quite struggling with whom to follow, the intuition in me or the concepts and approaches at the Academy based on the art theory. I followed myself. My body just knew how to finish the painting. This is an abstract painting and I believe that anyone can find something in it. When I look at it, I see an endless infinitive space, the universe inside of me.
Giordano Bruno was an Italian visionary, a philosopher from late renascence, who at that time claimed that the universe is infinite and that there are many universes and many lifeforms. Nowadays we know all that, so his intuition was extraordinary for that time! Because of his wise thoughts or new, controversial ideas, he was killed, he was burned in Rome. I named this painting after Giordano Bruno. Because of his lucid intuition. I am not Giordano Bruno is a statement that defines my approach to art I name it the intuition of the body.
