Like all Markus' recent work, 'Play for Two' is the result of an inspired interaction with previously used and discarded wooden boards. It is about the interaction between two thoughts, two people or two worlds. No one entity in this world is entirely isolated from everything else or completely on it's own.
Simply noticing the existence of something or somebody instantly gives it a relational aspect. Some entities 'marry for life', some interact but once. The way you see it is the way it is. It all depends on the light you choose to see it in. You are invited to play with this concept of two in one, and one in two.
Not one of us is perfect, but as Leonard Cohen so eloquently put it,
'There is a crack in everything - that's where the light gets in'.
