Collection: Dizzy Pragnell

Dizzy’s work challenges and explores the boundaries of paper. While studying for a degree in printmaking she began to experiment with different methods of paper making focusing on developing a process, based on the ancient technique of papyrus, layering and fusing finely sliced fruit and vegetables to create cohesive sheets which formed textural tactile paper. Each sheet, an arrangement of colour and tone, retaining the essence of its origins. The colour and patterns produced in the sheets are ideal material from which to initiate a variety of works in both two and three dimensional form, and small books, challenging the traditional concept of book art.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the United Kingdom including the Royal Academy. A number of works are in private collections and museums.
